Every day I'm closer to sitting down and actually starting my Vampire novel/story thingie. It's something I've been working on for a long time, though there hasn't been much in the way of tangible progress because the majority of the work has been in my head.
I've scribbled down some short story blurbs to get a feel for some of the characters, as well as to stretch my legs, artistically speaking. I may get around to posting some of them as scraps, but considering that they'd introduce and give insight into characters that won't be in the story right away, it probably won't happen until they've already made they're appearances in the primary story.
It seems like the biggest step towards starting it out has been that I've developed a time line for each individual character using TreePad (a wonderful program, if you're not familiar with it). This has helped me fill in some gaps and keep things organized, though it's still got a few characters left to be finished.
So I guess now the main thing that's delayed my writing is "Where the hell do I start the story at?" Cause yeah, I have the time line, but the story doesn't start at the beginning. I believe in characters having detailed pasts, some involving each other and some not, so that they're well rounded and it leaves room for characters to discover things about their past that they didn't know, or things about they're allies/enemies that change the way they see them, and so on.
So that's the news For now, I'm gonna go work on my time line a little more, and throw together a writing play list in WMP for inspiration
Later all! Sorry I wrote so much lol
(Oh, one last side note: When this project gets up and off the ground, it'll probably progress rather slowly, cause I'm currently about 6 and a half months pregnant. This doesn't cut into my time very much at the moment, but in another 2 and a half months, I'm sure it will lol)
